Lodge Security are currently recruiting retail security supervisors to join our team. This is a pivotal role, and we are seeking individuals who are able to use their own initiative, can deliver amazing customer service, and enjoy solving complex operational issues. Supervisors play a critical role as part of the store management team working together to reduce all forms of external and internal theft.
· PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Manage a team of security operatives
o To provide a covert presence within retail premises to minimise theft
o Apprehend offenders as necessary
o Liaise with local constabulary
o Some administration and other general associated tasks as required
o Include rostering, managing sickness, absenteeism, and holidays
o To work closely with the Area Manager to ensure the success of the contract
o Daily management of personnel, to include, HR, maintenance of discipline, employee welfare
o To liaise with external organisations to ensure that the site remains secure
o Responsible for coaching, mentoring and development of the security team
o Ensure assignment instructions and standard operating procedures are adhered to
· THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
o Applicants must hold Security Industry Authority (SIA) front line license in Security Guarding and a CCTV
o Applicants should hold a NVQ Level 3 supervisor qualification or be willing to work towards this
o Experience in a security supervisor role is preferable
o To ensure all handover and incident reports are fully completed with any escalations being promptly actioned in accordance with the agreed contractual requirements
o Experience in managing a team including assigning rota’s, holidays etc preferable
o The ability to develop effective working relationships with management, staff, customers and colleagues is vital to this role
o 5 years working history to pass BS7858 screening
o Work to and achieve a range of performance KPI’s/targets, set by client to reduce stock shrinkage
